Alex Close
Creative Director
Alex Close (b. 1993 Toronto) is a visual artist, educator, and design researcher from Toronto, Canada with Macedonian heritage. She is interested in how modern tools like digital media and modern transportation alter our bodily expectations of memory, movement, and space. Alex looks at how complex urban environments can distort our perception and is interested in capturing these sensations through challenging conventional notions of abstract painting. Her diverse body of work reflects influences from international projects, including collaborations with an artist collective and research into virtual collaborative brainstorming. Alex holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from OCAD University (2015), a Master of Fine Art Practice (MLitt) from the Glasgow School of Art (2017), and a Master of Design Research (MDes) from Carleton University (2020). Alex regularly participates in artist residencies and exhibitions internationally, including the Art Attic Gallery (New Zealand), Robert McLaughlin Gallery (Canada), and the Muzychi Expanded History Project (Ukraine). She is currently a Lecturer at Chengdu University, College of Chinese and ASEAN Arts in Chengdu China.
Nour Hassan

Nour Hassan is a multidisciplinary artist from Aotearoa/NewZealand of West-Asian heritage. Her practice explores stories that shape decision-making and the physical environments we inhabit. She is particularly interested in how prevailing narratives construct the way we see the world, and in the possibilities of exaggerating, unsettling, or playfully subverting these stories. Nour is currently completing her Master’s in Arts (History) at Victoria University, Wellington where her research focuses on how newly formed states craft and negotiate their foundational narratives. She holds a Diploma in Arts (History) from Massey University, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design. In 2024, she was the recipient of the William Hodges Fellowship, a four-month art residency in Southland, New Zealand. In July 2025, her portrait series Majke/Mothers was exhibited at the Vijećnica in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina to mark the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica massacre. She regularly collaborates with creatives from diverse fields to explore new ways of working while continuing her working in the Healthcare sector.
Ana Spasova

Ana Spasova (b. 1996) is a visual artist based in Skopje, North Macedonia. She earned her BFA degree from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje, at the Department of Printmaking with a module in Conservation and Restoration (2018), and completed her MFA studies in Printmaking (2020) at the same institution. Her artistic practice spans various media, including printmaking, drawing, photography, and installation. Spasova’s works integrate visual elements with text, signs, and symbols, intertwining them into compositions that explore the complexity of human experience. Through the juxtaposition of diverse materials and forms, her works invite viewers to reflect on themes of memory, identity, and the transience of time. Since 2020, she has been working as an Assistant at the Department of Printmaking and Transmedia Practices at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia. She has participated in over sixty group exhibitions in North Macedonia and abroad and has held three solo exhibitions. Since 2019, she has been a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Macedonia (DLUM).
Florence Dhennoeulin

Florence Dhennoeulin is a Master’s student in Anthropology at Paul Valéry University in Montpellier, France. Her programme specialises in Environmental Humanities and adopts a multidisciplinary approach to examine how societies around the world perceive and relate to their natural environments. For her thesis, she chose to explore how artists engage with their surroundings and the roles they play within their communities, particularly in relation to nature protection. To this end, she conducted ethnographic fieldwork in Struga, North Macedonia, from February to May 2025. Her research aims to analyse how artists’ relationships with the environment are expressed through their artistic practices and their involvement in collective initiatives. It further explores the possible links between these environmental concerns and themes of migration, questioning how relationships to land shape individual migration trajectories and how these experiences become inscribed within broader collective narratives.
Sofia Grigoriadou

Sofia Grigoriadou (Athens, Skopje) is an artist, anthropologist, curator and educator. She holds a PhD in Social Anthropology (Panteion University, Athens) on “Contemporary artistic production in changing cities: the examples of Athens and Skopje”. She also has a BA and an MFA in visual arts (Athens School of Fine Arts), and a BA in Philosophy-Pedagogy-Psychology (School of Philosophy, NKUAthens). She is co-founder of TWIXTlab, a laboratory between contemporary art, the social sciences and everyday life in Athens. She co-founded the interdisciplinary group Akoo-o (sound, movement and technological mediation). She is a member of the editorial team of ανθρωπολογίες/anthropologies, the magazine of the Social Anthropologists Association – Greece. She has been an editor for kyklada.press, a publishing initiative focusing on materiality, the senses, and landscape in coastal contexts. She is a guest curator of Video Art Miden. In 2024 she co-edited the Large Glass magazine and co-curated exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Skopje. She curated the Museum’s film program in 2024 and 2025. She has taught contemporary art at the Athens School of Fine Arts and. She is currently an Adjunct Lecturer on anthropology and visual culture at the Department of Culture and Creative Media and Industries (University of Thessaly, Greece).
Patthira Duangjai (Bo)

Patthira Duangjai (Bo) (b. 2005, Bangkok) is a bachelor’s student from Bangkok majoring in visual communication design at Chengdu University, College of Chinese and ASEAN Arts in Chengdu, China. At the same time, she is also a bachelor’s student majoring in business management at Ramkhamhaeng University in Thailand. The majority of her works are graphic design, branding design, illustration, and photography. Her main interests are about studying silhouette, color, and visual storytelling in visual works. She previously worked as a part-time graphic designer and content creator for Youth for Next Step in Thailand from July 2021 until January 2022. In October 2025, she showcased a short animation about the city of Gostivar in Macedonia 100 years from now, under the theme “Tales of an imagined home,” in Skopje, Macedonia, and in Chengdu, China. Currently, she is focusing on studying brand image and brand strategy, with the goal of applying and developing the knowledge she has gained from her two majors.
